Paleo Day 9 - The White Stuff
Breakfast this morning consisted of a bunch of veggies I had sitting in my fridge getting tossed unceremoniously into a pan with coconut oil and cajun seasoning. They included: grape tomatoes, carrots, green bell peppers, spaghetti squash and onions. I also added the rest of the ground beef from a couple days ago and sprinkled some unsalted sunflower seeds on top when it was all done. I’m glad I did, because the seeds really brought it all together. It was rather tasty! And I’ve discovered that it’s not that I don’t like carrots, it’s that I’ve never had properly cooked carrots before - I’ve only ever had them in pre-packaged soups when they were super mushy and gross. But I picked up some organic baby carrots and they’re yummy! A lot sweeter than I thought they would be, but that could be because my taste buds are finally getting over the processed sugar hurdle, which is awesome.
I also realized, at 4:00 this morning, that I am an idiot. I parked my car outside my apartment last night to unload groceries and then left it out front so I wouldn’t have to walk to the parking garage today to go to work at the mall. I forgot one little thing though, that little thing that all of Lancaster was freaking out about… y’know… the impending Snowpocalypse. So instead of a nice, dry car that I’d just have to walk a block to get to, I now will have to spend probably a good hour cleaning all that frozen crap off of it. Joy.
But for right now I’m sitting in my Sabres PJs, watching Yogscast minecraft videos and enjoying a lazy Saturday morning.
